This is a great backpacking cup for morning coffee or even oatmeal. If I am making oatmeal, I simply place the paper bag that my oatmeal was in over the top of this and then place my spork on top of that. It holds in most of the heat just like a lid would, but without the cleaning needs of a lid. Also, my coffee stayed plenty warm to finish it off without a lid. I prefer this easier solution than the cups with lids.
