This stuff is stronger than I expected, but there are a few things I've learned. First, this is really good for hanging up lighter objects like posters, pictures, or a light mirror for instance. The heaver it is, you'll want to make sure you have enough surface area to use more tape. For a poster (very light), I found about an inch or two was all I needed in the corners for it to feel completely secure. I haven't tried re-using it because I just got it a few weeks ago, but its definitely an interesting idea. It does feel like it should be pretty safe for protecting paint on walls, but I guess time will tell. Overall I'm really happy with it.I have three metal cabinets in my garage and I attached a set of multi-unit LED lights under the front edge. Light up the area very nicely. I used the small adhesive pads that come with the lights and gee, guess what happen... they ended up falling down! Not surprised, those might pads usually do not hold well.So I picked up this tape and figured it would work better. It does! First off, it is very thick and very sticky. I put one piece all the way across the 5 pieces and it sticks so well. Simply cut it with a pair of scissors. I also think it helped to stiffen up the whole thing. Plus it just covers so much more compared to short pads every few inches. Stuck the whole thing up and I have my lights back! I did miss them.Of course the big question is how it will hold. Only time will tell that, but I will be sure to update this if it happens to fall down. So far it is sticking perfectly. Even used a small piece to stick up the on/off/dimmer switch.I have not tried washing it or re-using it, so can not comment on that.Very happy with this product. I think the price is not bad. Would recommend for sure! Love it!This tape holds well, but I love the fact that it is removable by stretching.In other words, one you put it on you're not 'stuck' with it, pun intended.This tape is hardcore. Once you put it on there’s no removing it. I used this to attach a heavy tissue box (made of metal) to my bathroom wall because I don’t wanna drill. It’s been weeks and it’s holding up pretty well. If you want something that will hold strong, this is it. Get it.Easy to use for rugs and you do not need to do the entire perimeter of the rug, just the corners should be enough. If you hate to dust, as I do, you can tape your nick-nacks to the table and then you don't need to be so delicate with the duster and you don't need to touch every item you own or worry about knocking it over. Hurry up and get it done. I had a piece of decorative molding that fell off the leg of my barstool. I used this tape instead of glue. Excellent. I have been meaning to fix that for the past 3 years now....... I am sure I will find many more uses for this!I’ve been using this tape to hang decorations in a classroom. It sticks well to smooth surfaces but doesn’t like fabric, yarn, etc. For instance, it stuck to a flat metal surface but not the yarn tassels on a swag of tassels and pompoms even though there is almost no weight to those, and card stock letters kept falling off the bulletin board but stayed with double stick tape. It does come off of flat surfaces without difficulty if necessary and as mention, it pretty much repels off of textiles. Overall it worked, but it has limitations to keep in mind.Not the strongest tape, but useful to have for small jobs around the house. Couldn't keep a command hook up with a curtain on it, but can handle putting up a poster.
