Great lamp, compact and fits really well, doesn’t get in your field of view when wearing like most. Bought a couple of these, one a year ago and I loved it so much I bought another one for another person who was going hiking with me. When it gets dark out this lamp is just so bright you’ll usually end up using it in 2nd mode (dim). To save myself the hassle of struggling with batteries I bought some spares I carry in the car 10x AAA in case any of the lamps run low on juice I can switch the battery out quickly. The cool thing about having two is you realize the battery is low on one when the brightest setting on one is the same brightness as the dim setting on the other, but like I said, 2nd setting is still bright enough to small things like changing a spare at night, finding something you may have left in your car, or simply lighting a trail that you’re familiar with or that’s easy to follow. The red, well I’ve never used on any lamp so I can’t tell you anything about it. Other than it’s red, bright, and is about half the size of the other settings. I’ll upload pictures next time I go camping.
