Excellent product, very well made and easy on the hands. This dock line is 3/8" thick and 15 feet long. It is just the right length and thickness. I first ordered a 1/2" dock line, but that was too thick and clumsy. 3/8" is perfect -- just enough thickness to give it some substance, but also light and easy to handle.--- Edit 11/27/12 ---After using the line a few times, I've noticed that it frays rather easily. If the dock has no cleats and you have to wrap the line around a piling, nails or thorns from the piling will cause the line to fray. I originally ordered two dock lines, but one of them was quite frayed right out of the box so I had to ship it back. I still like these dock lines a lot, but downgrading my rating to 4 stars because I don't know how long they are going to last.Nice dock line at a decent price. Wish loop was a little smaller. This is a good quality rope and does the job...and it does roll up well like in the pic. Most people at the dock do this so I joined the majority. I've been happy with Attwood's products and this hasn't let me down.Update: I had some strong winds and waves at the slip. This rope held well. Unfortunately, another rope that held the stern to the dock broke and my boat swung and my outboard motor has cosmetic damage...Fortunately, I decided to visit the boat this day, the damage could have been much worse! Replace your Ropes and keep an eye on them!BUY THESE DOCK LINES! If only other things in life were like these 'Mercedes with a million miles on them.'Here in TX with the rain, humidity, and killer sun, it doesn't take much for materials to rot or fall apart. Well this dock line hasn't mildewed or shown any signs of the crazy weather. Very trustworthy product!Update9.2018 Ropes have been outside since purchased. They've been dragged and left soaking in mud and unknown murky chemical water over winter; so we've thrown our worst at these dock lines. Nada. No stains, zero rot, they look like the day we got them! They are now rolled up and ready for their next life as RV ropes.Very strong and visible but like others can wear where wrapped around the cleat from boat motion when docked. Best to replace with new every year. They also stand up well from constant exposure from sun unlike others when exposed to UV.We were in need of new ropes for our boat. This was exactly what we were looking for. Item arrived in a timely manner and was just what we wanted. Very happy with our purchase.I bought 4 of these for my 22 foot sailboat. They are holding up pretty well so far. Only time will tell how long they last. But, so far so good. There are better dock ropes out there, but you pay for it, and there is a lot of cheap ropes out there, most of them are pure junk that unravel in no time. The Attwood dock ropes are a good value and for the price you can't beat it !Does stand up to the weather. No mild, mildew or degradation. Users should know that the rope sags/stretches when wet and shrinks when dry/hot outside.Pour amarrer le bateau produit conforme à la description MERCI
