When charging batteries, I charge both batteries at the same time; one in the Canon charger, the other in this one. Both reach full charge at about the same time. This is not an overnight charger, as it takes only an hour or so to charge the battery. There is one flaw--it can be worked around--and that is that you must plug the charger into an outlet, upside down. Otherwise the battery will fall out. This can be remedied by gluing a piece of plastic across the end containing the battery contacts. For the price and the performance, I would recommend this charger to everyone.
